Description
Madder Root Lake pigment paint is beautiful reddish watercolour extracted through a lake pigment process. Madder is extracted from Rubia tinctorum root. Madder has been used as a pigment for over 5000 years, found in Egyptian tombs and on Roman textiles and art. This madder root watercolour is supplied in a handcrafted clay pot. All of these pigments are handmade, and the colours will vary in different batches.
All botanicals or foraged materials are ethically and lovingly resourced.
The clay pots are all handmade and vary in shape they are very happy with normal use for watercolour painting but are not fired clay and will be unhappy if fully immersed in water.
